Resetting Activesync on a Windows Mobile 6.x smartphone
Solution
If you are having difficulties getting your smartphone to synchronise with your Exchange server, it may be worth deleting all of the settings you have so far and then reconstructing the connection afterwards. This article will only cover deleting the settings, as the reconfiguration is covered in another article available on the knowledgebase.
In order to reset Activesync:
- Open Activesync on your phone.
- Choose Menu, then Options.
- You will now be shown a list of folders that your phone is trying to sync with. Choose the Delete option and proceed.
The process can take a few minutes to go ahead, so please be patient. Once done, consult the following article to begin reconfiguring your phone for use with an Exchange server:
